There's a good game in here somewhere--
--It's just too bad that it's buried so far beneath so many glitches that it's not really worth looking for.
Mardek Rpg: Chapter 1

Just a few notes.
I really like the battle system. It's about as detailed as I could expect a flash RPG to get, and it really performed well. The story (so far) has captured my interest, and I really liked how you opened up with the kids playing hero. I have a few irks with the game so far, though, which I'll go ahead and bring up here:
1.) Huff Puff gives you 50 exp every time you used it. This allowed me to get upwards of hundreds of exp per battle before I even touched the enemies. This wasn't so bad in the sewers, where I'd have to go to the monastery every time I needed more MP, but once I got to old man's hut in the forest I could recharge my MP after every battle. This resulted in me being able to get Deugan (with his high MP) a LOT of exp for each battle against the puny little enemies. I didn't test the upper ends of this (only went to level 5), but I assume that one could just keep doing this with little effort whatsoever and gain plenty of levels (at one point I got a level during battle while doing this, so I was able to do it all over again -- 1500 exp from one battle). I'd suggest lowering the amount it gives you to something more reasonable, like to the 10 - 20 exp range.
2.) It really isn't obvious that you can hold down the E key to see what your skills do in the Skills menu. I know the instructions say that you can use it to see info about things, but it makes it sound like it can only be used on items, and in fact refers specifically to screens "where drag-and-drop items appear" -- which doesn't include the Skills menu. I'm glad I stumbled upon it so I could tell exactly what the reaction skills did, even though most of them were obvious.
3.) Another thing that wasn't very obvious was that Stunstrike and Snakebite only work when you use a basic attack (at least, it seemed like they did). This would have ended my dragon battle about 10 rounds faster, lol.
4.) This is totally a personal thing, but I find that the worst kind of humor that people tend to put into flash RPGs is humor that refers to the fact that it is a flash RPG. For instance, I laughed really hard at the kids dialogue when they were playing heroes, the two guards in the Inn (Mr. Sexy Uniform and Ms. Retro), and the gay shop owner; but I didn't really find the metahumor that funny. Again, that's all just me, but I really think that you should cut back on the fourth wall-breaking jokes, and stick to the good humor. Lol.
I'm sure I'll think of some more things later and regret that I didn't say them, but that's all that comes to mind at the moment. I think I'll go play again now and see how high of a level I can get to using Huff-Puff over and over again.
Looking forward to the next installment. Cheers.
Well, technically you could get to an incredibly high level fighting monsters at the beginning in most RPGs, but why would you do that? It seems boring and pointless.
I changed EXP you get for targetting yourself from 50 to 20, though!
AND I added a bit in the Help section explaining that the E key works on the Skills screen too!
AND I made the status-inflicting reactions work for abilities too!
Though I'm doing nothing about the metahumour, since that happens to be one of my favourite kinds of humour!
Thanks for the great review though, what with the good suggestions and all!

At least it was playable before...
Ever since the major bugs got "fixed", it's nearly impossible to get past the fourth or fifth battle. You can dodge their attack, but they regain their stamina fast enough to stab at you again before you build up enough stamina to dodge again? Wtf is that shit? It went from playable and buggy to unplayable crap.

How often do parodies outdo originals?
Not often enough, that's for sure. Art was better than the original, and the ending scene certainly helped. Fantastic parody.

You kidding me?
We all know that Kit Fisto would've schooled Sidious, no questions asked. Hell, Kit could take on Mace if he wanted to, and the only reason Mace lost to Sidious was due to Anakin's intervention.
